I’m Izzy Ansell, I am 20 years old and just entering my final year of Uni (sounds like a Love Island intro lol). I study Film and Television at University of Nottingham, so I sorta know what I am talking about I guess…

I wanted to get into writing about Film and TV as I want to share my perspective about what I am passionate about.

I have lots of different favourite films and TV shows, but I will say these are my top picks (always subject to change):

• Coco (Disney, 2017). I like this one because of the songs and it also makes me cry in a good way.
• Pan’s Labyrinth (Guillermo del Toro, 2006). I just think it’s an amazing films with so many Easter eggs.
• Hunt for the Wilderpeople (Taika Waititi, 2016). To be completely honest just love Taika’s films.
• Schitt’s Creek (Netflix, 2015-2020). What’s not to love, I have Alexis’ necklace with my initial because I’m obsessed. Biggest comfort series!
• Selling Sunset (Netflix, 2019-) . Please don’t judge me on this. Again, a comfort series I like, I just love the over the top LA personalities. More importantly I like nosing around at the houses…
• Big Mouth (Netflix, 2017-). The comedic element is spot on for me personally. I’m always laughing when I watch it.
